International conference dedicated to the
610th Anniversary of the Settlement of Tatars and Karaites
in the Grand Duchy of Lithuania

On 13th-15th of September in 2007 the Union of Lithuanian Tartars Communities, Lithuanian Karaites Community and the Center for Stateless Cultures at Vilnius University organize the international scientific conference to celebrate the 610th anniversary of the Settlement of Tartars and Karaites in Lithuania.

The theme of conference
The History and Culture of Lithuanian Tartars and Karaites
(the latest results of the researches made by various specialists).

The work of the conference will be held in two sections:

• Lithuanian Tartars in the modern world.
• Lithuanian Karaites in the modern world.

The duration of a report (in Lithuanian, Polish, Russian and English) is to be 15 minutes.

The theses (2-3 pages) of reports will be given in the Web page of The Center for Stateless Cultures. The text must be written using 1.5 spacing, Microsoft Word text format and the script size of 12. The theses to be sent up to 15th May 2007 by e-mail: tatjana.alssionova@if.vu.lt
