The content of the album is based on the rare archive data on Hadj (Aliyah) - journey of Karaites to Holy Land. Many generations of Karaites Hadji keep in their memory the stories of Hadj and repeat them in mejuma for the children and grandchildren. In the Karaite community the man who did the Hadj has the honored name Hadji (Jeru'). It was an honored name which brought whole Karaite Family Hadji to the Patrician level of the Karaite society. On the other side those who did not care about the visit to Holy Land is called as pijassor. It was a certain non fixed rule of the classification of the Karaite families. During many decades Karaites had no possibility to visit Holy Land and touch the Holy Stones and soil of Sinai, Jerusalem, kenassa of Anan ben David. Abraham Kefeli and International Institute of Crimean Karaites restore the old tradition of the Crimean Karaites - Hadj.
